This year, we have moved our Festival location from downtown Fallbrook to the UltraStar Cinemas in the River Village Plaza in Bonsall... which is on the very southern edge of Fallbrook. Relocating to a dedicated movie theater allows us to show more films in a high-tech all-digital, state-of-the-art environment. Ultra-Star has been promoting the Festival by showing trailers promoting the Festival (see Promo Videos page) to their general movie-going audiences, and immediately following the three-day event, we will continue screening 2-hours worth of our best entries for four nights straight. This is a chance to see that great film you may have missed or take someone else to see something you really enjoyed. It’s also a great opportunity for filmmakers to get additional exposure.
River Village is a unique spot set in the Fallbrook/Bonsall countryside, conveniently located right off Hwy 76 and Mission Rd. There is plenty of great dining at the Fresco Grill, Peking Wok, Village Pizza, Sunrize Café, Daniel's Market Deli and even a yogurt shop, our own OZ. There’s plenty of free parking, once you’re there you’ll never have to get back in your car.
We are pleased to announce that well-known actor, producer and author, George Hamilton will be here to accept a Career Achievement Award for his contribution to the film industry. Frank Capra III, grandson of the legendary director Frank Capra, will be here to present the first annual Frank Capra Award to the film submission that most uplifts the human spirit. And we will be saluting our own Patty and Hank Hornsveld, owners of the historic Mission Theater in Fallbrook, with our first annual Patron of the Arts Award which will be presented to those who have contributed so much to the arts community of Fallbrook/Bonsall.
Come enjoy the parties, workshops and films you won’t see anywhere else. Meet the filmmakers and celebrities at the 3rd Annual Fallbrook Film Festival. See you here!
The Fallbrook Film Festival is an offshoot of the Fallbrook Film Factory, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) consortium created to bring a serious filmmaking capability to creative people who would like to write, act in, produce and direct films. The organization and the film festival was founded by Ronald Shattuck and Donna Walden. For more on the Factory visit www.fallbrookfilmfactory.com
