Brilliant writing and direction wins Director Kurt Kuenne FIFF’s top award. A 'Twilight Zone'-style mystery that will hold you captive till the very end.

As 2nd Unit Director, he directed all the action sequences in “The Matrix Reloaded” and “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”. He directed “Final Destination 3D" which has grossed over 200 million dollars world-wide. In all, he has directed eight films including "Snakes on A Plane" and the huge Disney hit, "Homeward Bound 2, Lost in San Francisco”. His last completed film was "Shark Night 3D." Director David R. David Hasselhoff to receive Career Achievement Award

Sunday, April 7th, 5:00 pm: The 2013 Festival is most honored to have multi-talented performer David Hasselhoff as our Career Achievement recipient. Guinness Book of World Records names David “The Most Watched TV Star in the World,” His series “Baywatch” ran for 11 years and is still viewed in 140 countries by over one billion viewers every week… that’s a WOW!

David became interested in acting, dancing, and singing and a young age, which led him to attend both the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Michigan and the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California. His acting career began to gain popularity when he became a regular on the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” However, it was the series “Knight Rider,” in the 80’s that truly kick started his career. The international success of that show led to him winning the People's Choice Award for most popular actor.

On top of Hasselhoff’s continuous involvement in the film and television industry, he is also an active philanthropist. David founded the charity “Race for Life,” which grants wishes to terminally ill children. He is also heavily involved in “Wheels for Humanity,” where he personally delivers wheelchairs to disabled children and adults across the world. David’s often stated mantra is that, "If you’re blessed, I believe it is your moral obligation to give that blessing to someone else.”

It goes without saying that we are blessed to have such an influential actor and caring individual as our celebrity guest.
